Hi so today I am trying something different, it has taken me all morning to get this far , but here I am sharing a video, from YouTube and it's now on my blog. I am not the most technical person, so I hope this works, and I hope it is helpful.
Please do watch the video, but I have also taken stills from it to explain what I am doing.
Firstly I have a new phone holder , so hopefully I can record more of my painting process as time goes on .
I grabbed a painting from my 'reject' box and proceeded to try to improve it. So the first still shows my painting before I started .
Next I began to improve the tree adding more branches and more realistic branches.
I also flick paint into the tree to produce a more random pattern
I also added a hill behind the building to pick out the roof.
Then time for a sleepy fox on a stump.
Can you see I have my main pallet but I also have a pallet of reds and yellows, perfect for foxes
I needed to rub away parts where the shadows intruded into the foreground
I underpainted the tree stump in yellow ochre
And added burnt umber and darker browns to create the details
I do hope this new foray into broadcasting is helpful. Go easy on a new producer, I shan't be winning any awards anytime soon.
